Samantha Fish (Headliner)
Once again, the promoters for the Morristown Blues and Jazz Festival have outdone themselves.
From Walter Trout to Joanna Shaw Taylor and many more headliners from years past, Samantha Fish will finish off this spectacular card. Over the past five years or so, Fish has honed her craft to the point that some blues critics have called her one of the best in the world.
The 36-year-old Fish from Kansas City entertains the crowd from her very first note to the last with no breaks in between. Fast and furious or slow and sensuous, the keeps getting better - on guitar and on lead vocals.
Like most Morristown Fest concerts, it's quite a buildup to the finale. Dani G and Friends will get things going with her unique style of swinging jazz. The Jazz Ambassados, the touring big band for the US Army will follow, then two big-time blues acts will take the stage.
The Blues People are a group of four seasoned musicians who put all of their talent together for one incredible show. Also be in the mood for some playful banter which will put a smile on your face,
Then King Solomon Hicks, a 30-year old guitar prodigy will dazzle the crowd. Hicks, who already made a name for himself in the jazz world, shows what he can do in a blues format.
